Account Deletion — Train The Day
Effective: August 10, 2026 · Last updated: August 10, 2026
You can permanently delete your Train The Day account and personal data at any time from the app: open Profile, then Settings, then Account, and choose Delete Account. This page explains exactly what happens when you do, the limited records we keep, and how to cancel a subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
What happens when you delete your account
Your account will be disabled immediately. We will delete your profile, training and health data, plans, messages, connected-device credentials and other account content from active Train The Day systems.
Most deletions finish within 24 hours. If a connected service is temporarily unavailable, it may take longer. We will email you when deletion is complete.
We retain only limited payment and tax records for up to seven years and a minimal technical record proving that your deletion was completed for up to seven years. These retained records do not contain your training history, health data, coaching content, messages, audio, profile or login credentials.
Encrypted disaster-recovery copies may contain earlier data for up to 35 days before they expire automatically. These copies are isolated from normal use. If a backup is restored, completed deletion requests are reapplied before the restored service is made available.
Deleting your Train The Day account may not cancel a subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Check and cancel the subscription in the relevant store to prevent a future renewal.
What we retain
After your account is deleted, Train The Day retains only:
- Payment and tax records: Limited transaction information needed for accounting and tax obligations, retained for up to seven years.
- Deletion proof: A minimal technical record showing when the request was received and completed, retained for up to seven years.
These active retained records do not include your name, email address, training or health data, workouts, plans, coaching conversations, prompts, audio, connected-device data or credentials.
Encrypted disaster-recovery backups may temporarily contain previous copies for up to 35 days. They are not available to the normal application, expire automatically, and any restore process reapplies completed deletion requests before data is served.
Cancel a subscription bought through the Apple App Store
Subscriptions bought through the App Store are billed by Apple, and only you can cancel them — deleting your Train The Day account does not stop Apple's billing, and neither does deleting the app from your phone.
On your iPhone or iPad:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Train The Day.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
You can also open the App Store app, tap your profile picture, then Subscriptions. Your Pro access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Cancel a subscription bought through Google Play
Subscriptions bought through Google Play are billed by Google. Uninstalling the app does not cancel them.
On your Android device:
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon at the top right.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Tap Train The Day.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.
You can also manage subscriptions at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Your Pro access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Subscriptions bought on the web
If you subscribed through our website rather than an app store, deleting your account cancels that subscription as part of the deletion. We do not issue refunds automatically; contact support with any billing question before deleting your account.
Disconnect Sign in with Apple
If you signed in with Apple, the app asks Apple for permission to disconnect Train The Day during deletion. If you skip or cancel that prompt, your account is still deleted — you can remove Train The Day from your Apple ID yourself afterwards:
- Open the Settings app and tap your name.
- Tap Sign-In & Security.
- Tap Sign in with Apple.
- Select Train The Day and choose Stop using Apple ID.
Delete your account without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, you can request deletion of your Train The Day account and associated data by emailing support@traintheday.com from the email address registered to your account. We will verify the request and confirm by email when deletion is complete. The scope and timelines are the same as deleting from the app, including the retained records described above.
Remember to also cancel any App Store or Google Play subscription using the steps above — a deletion request does not stop store billing.
